Dar, forma sa modern\u0103 nu poate exista f\u0103r\u0103 tehnologia de a \u00eenregistra, cu toate c\u0103 tehnologia de \u00eenregistrare nu este electronic\u0103, tehnic vorbind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/music.ishkur.com\/images\/collage.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Cum ar ar\u0103ta un colaj. Dac\u0103 era s\u0103 faci o versiune audio a acestui specific colaj &#8211; precum nimic altceva dec\u00e2t jingle-uri comerciale &#8211; ar fi dat \u00een judecat\u0103 pentru \u00eenc\u0103lcarea drepturilor de autor. Dar, este ok, dac\u0103 este art\u0103.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> este un descendent direct al <strong><em>Musique Concrete<\/em><\/strong>. Ambele utilizeaz\u0103 sampling-ul \u00een repertoriul lor, \u00eens\u0103 <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> difer\u0103 de experimentali\u0219tii francezi \u00eeng\u00e2mfa\u021bi, \u00een cum \u0219i ce anume este &#8220;sampluit&#8221; (\u0219i de ce). <strong><em>Musique Concrete<\/em><\/strong> a fost \u00een mare foarte interesat de sunete neconven\u021bionale \u0219i lucruri ce nu erau neap\u0103rat muzicale. <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> a devenit, aproape imediat, un gen de noutate ce \u021bintea lucr\u0103ri de muzic\u0103 deja consacrate, \u0219i chiar \u0219i \u00een momentele cele mai serioase, el mereu sun\u0103 parodic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Din moment ce <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> are nevoie ca lucr\u0103rile publicate s\u0103 existe, pentru a exista el \u00eensu\u0219i, a avut de a\u0219teptat pentru ca industria de \u00eenregistrare (\u0219i aici nu vorbim doar de muzic\u0103, ci \u0219i televiziune, radio, filme, serviciile de \u0219tiri, \u0219i oricare alt\u0103 industrie de broadcast sau transmisie) s\u0103 se maturizeze \u0219i s\u0103 construiasc\u0103 libr\u0103rii de sunete interesante, pentru ca <em><strong>Collage<\/strong><\/em> s\u0103 poat\u0103 ciordi. De asemenea, a avut de a\u0219teptat pentru ca tehnologia s\u0103 fac\u0103 mai simpl\u0103 samplarea \u0219i \u00eenregistrarea de alte lucr\u0103ri, iar asta pur \u0219i simplu nu era tehnic posibil \u00eenainte de anii 1950 (plus r\u0103zboiul \u0219i a\u0219a).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cu apari\u021bia \u00eenregistratoarelor multipist\u0103 (sau multitrack) (\u00een special, \u00eenregistratorul Ampex pentru 8 track-uri, lansat \u00een anul 1955), studio-urile \u0219i produc\u0103torii au trecut la un alt nivel de control al ie\u0219irilor muzicii \u0219i al rezultatului final (exist\u0103 mai multe despre asta, ce am s\u0103 explic \u00een alt\u0103 parte).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Probabil c\u0103 primul track oficial <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong>, plin de sample-uri, a fost Buchanan And Goodman &#8211; The Flying Saucer, un hit de noutate tont, din anul 1956, care a folosit p\u0103r\u021bi din c\u00e2ntece populare variate ca momente de \u00eentrerupere a unei transmisii de \u0219tiri, precum glumele Family Guy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/music.ishkur.com\/videos\/flyingsaucer.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption>Nu uita c\u0103 ei au trebuit s\u0103 fac\u0103 asta manual, prin intermediul \u00eenregistratoarelor cu band\u0103 multi-track \u0219i bobin\u0103-la-bobin\u0103. \u00centreab\u0103-i pe str\u0103bunicii t\u0103i ce \u00eenseamn\u0103 asta.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desigur c\u0103 au fost da\u021bi \u00een judecat\u0103 pentru asta. \u00cen mod uimitor \u0219i total surprinz\u0103tor, nea\u0219teptat, ei au c\u00e2\u0219tigat, destul de posibil deoarece industria era a\u0219a de fraged\u0103 \u0219i nou\u0103, iar judec\u0103torul at\u00e2t de naiv \u0219i nicio lege nu exista \u00eenc\u0103 pentru a\u0219a ceva, a\u0219a c\u0103 nu exista nimic ce s\u0103 se poat\u0103 \u00eempotrivi. Foarte pu\u021bini consumatori de acas\u0103 aveau acces la tool-urile de \u00eenregistrare necesare pentru a face sampling la orice rat\u0103, vitez\u0103 sau ritm. \u0218i, cu fiecare lansare, cu fiecare hit, \u0219i fiecare inova\u021bie ce a ap\u0103rut, <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> a trebuit s\u0103 lupte cu o industrie de \u00eenregistrare \u00eenfloritare, care pur \u0219i simplu nega dreptul de a exista ca \u0219i art\u0103, al lui <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong>, mai pu\u021bin muzic\u0103, \u0219i mai pu\u021bin produs comercial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lucr\u0103rile <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> erau ori ni\u0219te unice proaste, de ni\u0219te nimeni precum Audrey &#8211; Dear Elvis, o scrisoare de dragoste a unei fane c\u0103tre Elvis, folosind sample-uri de muzic\u0103 pentru a transmite \u0219i exprima sentimentele \u0219i emo\u021biile ei (cumva fix \u00een stilul adolescen\u021bilor de ast\u0103zi). Sau, erau explor\u0103ri de band\u0103 ciop\u00e2r\u021bit\u0103, ca James Tenney &#8211; Collage #1, care, \u0219i acesta l-a sampluit pe Elvis la greu, dar \u00eentr-un mod diferit. Dar divaghez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Odat\u0103 ce industria \u00eenregistr\u0103rilor s-a metamorfozat \u00een ma\u0219ina ce f\u0103cea bani pe band\u0103 rulant\u0103, m\u00e2ng\u00e2ietoare pe suflet, care urma s\u0103 domine dormitoarele adolescen\u021bilor, p\u00e2n\u0103 la finalul secolului, lupta pentru proprietatea muzicii a crescut, ceea ce s-a \u00eent\u00e2mplat s\u0103 coincid\u0103 cu num\u0103rul avoca\u021bilor cu infleun\u021b\u0103 \u0219i putere mare, pe care industria \u0219i i-a putut permite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aproape ca o reac\u021bie la asta, muzica <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong> a devenit mai rebel\u0103 \u0219i mai militant\u0103, pozi\u021bion\u00e2ndu-se pe sine ca un revolu\u021bionar cutez\u0103tor ce lupta \u00eempotriva Capitalismului, cu eroice de bruiaj cultural (probabil \u00een timp ce purta un tricou cu Che). A folosit apelativele de &#8220;Copyleft&#8221; \u0219i &#8220;Kopyright&#8221;, ca o batjocur\u0103 la adresa legii copyright-ului, cu o liter\u0103 (k) ca un simbol cu dublu \u00een\u021beles (denot\u0103, de asemenea, &#8220;kallisti&#8221;, care \u00een greac\u0103 \u00eenseamn\u0103 &#8220;frumos&#8221;, prima liter\u0103 fiind \u00eenscris\u0103 pe M\u0103rul Discordiei, aruncat \u00een mijlocul osp\u0103\u021bului Zeilor, de c\u0103tre Eris, Zei\u021ba Haosului \u0219i sf\u00e2ntul protector al Anarhismului. Era ieftin, mic, \u0219i u\u0219or de folosit, cum l-ai scos din cutie. Era acum posibil nu doar s\u0103 ai un c\u00e2ntec hit, ci albumuri de succes, cariere de succes, \u0219i chiar \u00eentregi case de discuri, toate pornite cu acest singur device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SP-1200 a fost, \u00een acela\u0219i timp, un trimis al zeilor \u0219i un semn \u00eenfior\u0103tor pentru industria muzicii \u0219i nimeni nu a demonstrat mai bine aceast\u0103 sabie cu dou\u0103 t\u0103i\u0219uri, dec\u00e2t Bill Drummond \u0219i Jimmy Cauty, care, ca \u0219i Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, au f\u0103cut un \u00eentreg album de farse cu el, au fost da\u021bi \u00een judecat\u0103 de ABBA, for\u021b\u00e2ndu-i astfel s\u0103 nu lansese niciodat\u0103 albumul, au ars toate materialele principale, \u0219i l-au lansat oricum, cu sample-urile ce \u00eenc\u0103lcau drepturile de autor scoase, dar cu instruc\u021biuni de cum s\u0103 recreezi albumul chiar de la tine de acas\u0103, urmat de un album plin de sample-uri, un an mai t\u00e2rziu, care se pl\u00e2ngea de legea copyright-ului, dup\u0103 care au f\u0103cut un hit de noutate umplut cu sample-uri, o dat\u0103, pentru ni\u0219te bani da\u021bi naibii, s-au redenumit The Kopyright Liberation Front \u0219i, peste urm\u0103torii 3 ani de zile, au pornit pe mai departe \u00een a schimba muzica electronic\u0103 pe vecie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De asemenea, ei au scris o carte \u00een care au spus tot despre &#8220;cum \u0219i tu po\u021bi face un hit num\u0103rul 1, de succes, cu doar ni\u0219te pricepere \u00een marketing \u0219i un sampler SP-1200&#8221;. Mul\u021bi arti\u0219ti, de la Chumbawamba, la The Chainsmokers, au recunoscut c\u0103 au urmat sfatul acestei c\u0103r\u021bi atemporale, nemuritoare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sunt mai multe de spus despre The KLF (mult mai multe), dar am s\u0103 p\u0103strez asta pentru o alt\u0103 ocazie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dar nu exist\u0103 nimic care s\u0103 se compare cu ceea ce acest SP-1200 a f\u0103cut pentru alte scene ale muzicii electronice, lans\u00e2nd Epocile de Aur ale <strong><em>Hip Hop<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>House<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>New Beat<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Hip House<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>R&amp;B<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Breaks<\/em><\/strong>, etc. U\u0219urin\u021ba prin care se f\u0103cea sampling acum nu o mai caracteriza drept ceva de genul <strong><em>Collage<\/em><\/strong>-only. Acum era o chestie <em>pop<\/em> (popular\u0103). Acum reprezenta o <em>problem\u0103<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diferite \u021b\u0103ri au s-au ocupat de legea copyright a muzicii \u00een felul lor propriu, dar, \u00een general, c\u00e2nd sampling-ul f\u0103r\u0103 permisiune, pe care s-a a\u0219ezat praful, nu mai era permis (nici m\u0103car o frac\u021biune de lovitur\u0103 de tob\u0103 &#8211; drum hit).
